KONDŌ

Where the Dragon Dwells

A philosophy of life — where every piece is created to support your journey toward inner and outer balance.

KONDŌ — Golden Hall
What does KONDŌ mean?

In Japanese Buddhism, KONDŌ (金堂) means "Golden Hall." It is the central and most sacred space of a Buddhist temple, where statues of the Buddha are enshrined and important rituals are performed.

The KONDŌ represents a sacred space of spiritual harmony, inner balance, and perfection.

About KONDŌ

A dialogue between creativity and discipline

KONDŌ is a philosophy of life — where every piece is created to support your journey toward inner and outer balance.

Form is born through the practice of yoga — through awareness, structure, and connection to the inner axis. Here, minimalism is not simplicity, but control.

We begin with black colour as a symbol of focus and concentration. We remove the unnecessary to reveal what truly matters: line, volume, movement. The silhouettes are free, yet carefully structured.

"Not aggression. Not display. But control. Dragon lives in silence and needs no proof."

The DRAGON in the philosophy of KONDŌ represents inner energy. It is present in the moment, connected to its source of STRENGTH.

About Fabrics

Linen and ramie were chosen as the foundation for a reason

They are alive. They breathe. They evolve with time.

Ramie fabric — KONDŌ

Ramie

Ramie is a natural textile fibre derived from the Boehmeria nivea plant, also known as Chinese nettle or white ramie, a member of the nettle family. Ramie has been used by humans for thousands of years.

  • Strength

Ramie is one of the strongest natural textile fibres. It is highly durable, and its strength increases when wet, unlike many other fibres that become weaker.

  • Appearance & Texture

Ramie has a subtle silky sheen reminiscent of silk. It is naturally crisper than linen, but becomes softer with wear and washing.

  • Hygiene

Naturally resistant to bacteria, mildew, rot, and pests, making it a durable and hygienic choice.

  • Thermoregulation

Highly absorbent and breathable, ramie helps regulate body temperature and feels comfortable in warm and humid climates.

  • Durability

Ramie has excellent resistance to sunlight and retains its shape well through repeated washing.

Linen fabric — KONDŌ

Linen

Linen is a natural textile fibre made from the stem of the flax plant. One of the oldest textile fibres in the world, linen has been used for thousands of years and remains valued for its natural strength, breathability and distinctive texture.

  • Strength

Linen is naturally strong and durable. Its strength increases when wet, which has contributed to its long-standing reputation as a resilient textile fibre.

  • Hygiene

Naturally resistant to bacteria and mildew, linen stays fresh with extended wear, making it a clean and hygienic choice.

  • Breathability

Linen allows air and water vapour to circulate freely, making it feel fresh and comfortable against the skin.

  • Thermoregulation

Linen helps regulate body temperature — keeping the body cool in warm conditions while also providing a degree of insulation in cooler environments.
